SURGICAL SECTION - What we Fix.
SURGICAL SECTION - Bunionectomy
SURGICAL SECTION - Tailor's Bunionectomy
SURGICAL SECTION - Neuromas
SURGICAL SECTION - Hammertoes
SURGICAL SECTION - Warts and Plantar Lesions
SURGICAL SECTION - Heel Spurs
SOME LASER SPECIFICS:
Pain control:
Absolute hemostasis:
Infection risk eliminated:
Rapid return of functionality:
Then there are things only a laser can do:
Incisionless surgery:
Go to BUNIONECTOMY
Go to TAILOR'S BUNIONECTOMY
Go to NEUROMAS
Go to HAMMERTOES
Go to WARTS
Go to HEEL SPURS / PLANTAR FASCIITIS
Conventional surgery cannot emmulate lasers in similar procedures.
The laser seals the nerve axons thus body electrolytes
cannot irritate them and cause nerve pain.
The laser seals the small vessels which minimize
post-operative swelling and bleeding.
The laser operates at a bacteriocidal temperature.
It is thus auto-sterilizing.
Microscopically controlled swelling means early joint
range-of-motion, and early normal return of function.
Now, this we have for warts, and other lesions.
Compared to the older style lasers you usually see advertized.
This discussed is in the wart and laser sections.

We are the only exclusively Laser-Based Foot & Ankle practice in SouthWestern VA. International and interstate patients find local accommodations, are able to undergo outpatient procedures, then shortly return home due to very low complication rate. We followup with their local physician to inform him for our procedures.
While similarly named procedures are done by many physicians, our recovery time, postoperative pain, swelling and complication rate might be different. Be advised that most physicians advertise LASER when it is only used for treating warts or toenails.
Wart or toenail surgery is an important step forward from conventional measures, but will not be addressed here. Please contact our office if you need this work done. Our technique also includes conventional laser procedures.
Dr. Kelly has advanced many difficult procedures in his training and research, which in part, was at a specialized Podiatric Surgical Residency at Straith Hospital for Special Surgery in Michigan, an internationally renowned privately owned plastic surgery hospital. See CV section. Plastic surgery training changes how a doctor treats soft tissue. This additional care determines the outcome. Then, the laser is an addition to fundamentally good surgical technique.
Obtaining a pain free result and rapid functional return to lifestyle is our goal.
Additionally, training in and having instructed microsurgery has augmented Dr. Kelly's microsurgical training in his treatment of delicate tissue structures.
